The City of Boise is bringing Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong to Boise. This comedic documentary puts a long-overdue spotlight on the people who keep our water renewal systems running and the aging infrastructure they work hard to maintain every day.
Fifty years after the Clean Water Act drastically changed how we treat used water, once-modern water renewal facilities are reaching the end of their intended lifespans. Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong documents the day-to-day operations of Portland, Maine Water District’s East End Treatment Plant over the course of a year, capturing the challenges, triumphs, and relentless dedication that keeps this essential infrastructure operating 24/7. It’s work that most of us never notice - unless something goes terribly wrong.
This event will be held at the Egyptian Theatre in downtown Boise on Wednesday June 3rd. This is an all ages event, but please be aware of profanity and “potty humor”. The evening screening will be followed by a Q&A with a panel of Boise’s Water Renewal Services staff.
